Where does the word “biosphere” come from?
The word comes from “bio” meaning life and “sphere”, which is the shape of the earth.

The Lithosphere: is made up of soil and rocks of the crust and seabed of the earth.
The hydrosphere: is all the water on earth and includes the oceans, lakes, rivers, and underground water.
The atmosphere: a layer of gases that surround the earth and can sustain life.
