Tropical rain forests
Hot desert
Savanna
Deciduas rain forests
How do plants adapt in the savanna ??
It can survive a dry season because it’s roots grow deep to find water
How does a plant in the desert adapt ??
Leaves become thin spikes so that they won’t lose much water
How does a plant adapt in the rainforest ??
They have tall trunks to reach sunlight
How does a sloth adapt to the rainforest
It’s story claws allow it to hang from branches and its hair is filled with green algae to blend in with plants
Describe a nutrient cycle
Plants then animals then dead waste materials then nutrients (decomposers)
How are people destroying the rainforest ??
Deforestation~cutting down trees
What is sustainable development ??
It is sensible and uses but does not waste resources
Give an example of sustainable development
Sustainable logging~ loggers can only cut down some trees in certain areas and have to plant new ones in there place
Sustainable tourism~ tourists visit the forest but do not ruin ruin or harm it
What is an ecosystem ??
Made up of two parts living things and non living things and then living things interact with the environment
