What does sovereignty mean?
freedom from external influence or control, autonomy
What does article 11: applicability of air regulations outline?
A/C of contracting states must comply with the air navigation laws and procedures of the state whose territory they are flying over or within
What does article 12: Rules of the air outline?
each contracting state must ensure that A/C flying in its airspace comply with its rules of the air. In the event that rules are violated the state must prosecute the offender.
What does article 24: customs duty outline?
A/C flying to, from or over the airspace of a contracting state shall be admitted temporarily free of duty, subject to the customs regs of the states

What does chapter XV of the chicago convention outline?
the basic principles for ‘joint suppot’ action if a state applies to ICAO for financial or technical aid (such as iceland or greenland)
What does the European Directive 261 outline?
the rights of passengers in the event of:
a flight delay, cancellation or denial of boarding
(passengers should be adequately cared for and can request full reimbusement of tickets)
