  1. Increased social WELFARE with the Beveridge report and the NHS in 1948
  2. Increased access to EDUCATION. 1944 Butler act introduced free secondary education for all. lead to increased social mobility as working class were now educated so could get good jobs.
  3. Better housing as slums were cleared and the construction of council housing made good housing available. New towns were created like Milton Keynes.
  4. post war economic boom lead to consumer goods and affluence and low unemployment, rising wages and availability of credit.
  5. advancements in technology and healthcare
  6. workers rights
