because it was easier for them because they had the resources

fast flowing rivers, many forests, and many banks

the fast flowing rivers provided hydroelectric power to run factories

the forests provided lots of lumber which they burned to also run the factories

the banks loaned money to build more factories

why wasnt the south able to industrialize
because they didnt have the resources the north had such as fast flowing rivers and alot of forests
why did the south not believe in industrialization
bc they believed in farming and thought the future was in agriculture becasue in the begining everybody was farmers so they wanted to continue on with the tradition because that is what the country was founded on

a crop grown to make money
side note - after cash crops slavery became a bigger issue and the south had many plantations

it took the seeds out of cotton
side note - because f the cotton gin many more slaves were needed bc now they could plant even more cotton

the civil war was a war aof brother against brother because one family member could be fighting for the opposing side and it was a war within the nation
why did the civil war begin
the civil war began because of the division of the north and the south

the north was known as the union and the south was known as the confederacy
