Why did Joseph and Mary have to go to Bethlehem for the census done by the Roman Empire?
Joseph was a descendant of King David and Bethlehem was his ancient home.
Why did Jesus have to be born in a Manger?
Because there was no room for them to stay at the village inn.
On the night of Jesus’ birth, there were sheperds out in the fields. What happened to them?
An angel came to them to inform them of the birth of Jesus and where they would find him.
What did the sheperds do after that?
They ran to the village to see Mary, Joseph and Jesus and then told everyone what had happened.
Joseph woke up from a dream where an angel of the Lord commanded him something. What was this?
Joseph would be the father of Jesus but Mary and Joseph would have no sexual relations.
What did the three wise men follow to get to Jesus?
A star
When the wise men got to Bethlehem, King Herod and all of Jerusalem were disturbed by what they meant when they said they wanted to see the King of the Jews
What happened next?
A meeting was held with Herod, The High Priests and The Teachers of the Religious Law. Herod asked a few questions to find out where Jesus might have been and said to them to find Jesus.
Once they found him, Herod wanted them to come back to him to tell him and he said it was so ‘he could worship him as well’.
Herod did not want to worship Jesus but instead do something worse.
What did Mary, Joseph and Jesus do afterwards?
They were warned in a dream to escape to Egypt away from Herod.
Once Herod died, Joseph would have a dream about this and then they would come back to Nazareth.
What did the three Wise Men give Jesus
Gold, francincense and myrrh.
