Powers not given to the federal government belong to the states
Tenth Amendment
No unreasonable search and seizure by government of your home or property
Government must have approbable cause to get warrants
Fourth Amendment
Juries must be impartial
Trials must be speedy
You must be allowed to question all witnesses against you
You must be provided a lawyer
Sixth Amendment
No troops can live in any house without consent of the owner
Third Amendment
Persons must be charged for crimes and government must have evidence to justify a trial
Can not charge a person twice for the same crime,
You do not need to testify yourself
Fair trial
Fifth Amendment
Your rights are not just limited to the Bill of Rights
Ninth Amendment
No excessive bail
No cruel or unusual punishment
Eighth Amendment
For civil trials over $20 you have the right to a jury
Seventh Amendment
You have the right to have guns and weapons
Second Amendment
Congress cannot make laws establishing religion
Freedom of speech and free press
Peaceful Assembly, petition government for grievances
