Second amendment
Right to bear arms
Restrictions: must have a license, background check, must have a permit for concealed weapon, no automatic assault weapons
Third amendment
Quartering of troops. The government does not have the right to make citizens house soldiers in their homes
Fourth amendment
Search and seizure. Must have a search warrant and show probable cause
Fifth amendment
Criminal proceedings and eminent domain.
1) right to a grand jury
2) protects the accused against double jeopardy
3) protects against self-incrimination
4) due process and eminent domain
Sixth amendment
Criminal proceedings.
1) right to a speedy and public trial
2) right to an impartial petit jury
3) The accused must be informed of the crime and read their Miranda rights
4) right to witness and right to an attorney
Seventh amendment
Trial by jury.
Eighth amendment
Punishment of crimes. Protects against cruel and unusual punishment. (Also includes bail)

Powers reserved for the states
