What is the I amendment?
Protects the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.
What’s the II amendment?
The right to bear arms
What’s the III amendment?
Prohibits the quartering of soldiers in homes without the owner’s consent in times of peace
What’s the IV
amendment?
Protection against unfair searches and seizures and requires search warrants to be based on good reason.
What’s the V amendment?
Protects you from being forced to testify against yourself, prevents you from being tried twice for the same crime, and guarantees fair payment when the government takes your property.
What is the VI amendment?
Guarantees the right to a fair and speedy trial, an unbiased jury, and legal counsel in criminal cases.
What’s the VII amendment?
Ensures the right to a jury trial in civil cases involving more than twenty dollars of pay needed.
What’s the VIII amendment?
Prohibits excessive bail, excessive fines, and cruel/unusual punishment.
What’s the IX amendment?
States that specific rights in the Constitution do not deny or lightly treat other rights retained by the people.
What’s the X amendment?
States that powers not assigned to the federal government are reserved to the states or the people.

prohibited slavery
