THE BIBLE IS THE EXCLUSIVE GUIDE TO EVERLASTING LIFE Flashcards
A guide to life would be sadly lacking if it did not hold out a hope or goal for the future, since our outlook on the future strongly influences our present course
The Bible stands alone as the book that can lead us to the greatest prize a human could ever receive, everlasting life. What scripture, as shown below, indicates this?
“For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
The Bible stands alone as the book that can lead us to the greatest prize a human could ever receive, everlasting life. What scripture, as shown below, indicates this?
“For physical training is beneficial for a little, but godly devotion is beneficial for all things, as it holds promise of the life now and the life that is to come.”
1 Timothy 4:8

““Now look! I am about to die, and you well know with all your heart and with all your soul that not one word out of all the good promises that Jehovah your God has spoken to you has failed. They have all come true for you. Not one word of them has failed.”
Joshua 23:14
“This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”
John 17:3
“Whoever does not love has not come to know God, because God is love.”
1 John 4:8
- “Fight the fine fight of the faith; get a firm hold on the everlasting life for which you were called and you offered the fine public declaration in front of many witnesses…”*
- “safely treasuring up for themselves a fine foundation for the future, so that they may get a firm hold on the real life.”*

What does Jehovah want for us? (John 17:3; 1 John 4:8; 1 Timothy 6:12, 19)
Jehovah, the personification of love, wants us to be happy now and forever. (John 17:3; 1 John 4:8) Yes, God desires that we enjoy “the real life”—everlasting life. (1 Timothy 6:12, 19) For this reason, well over six million Witnesses of Jehovah, in obedience to God’s command, joyfully share the “good news of the kingdom” with their neighbors. (Matthew 24:14) At present, they are doing this work in 235 lands—virtually every nation on earth!
“Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it.”
Matthew 7:13, 14

Who will benefit from God’s guidance? (Matthew 7:13, 14)
God’s Kingdom is a heavenly government in the hands of Jesus Christ. (Daniel 7:13, 14; Revelation 11:15) Under his rulership all the wicked—those who refuse to submit to Jehovah’s righteous standards—will be destroyed. (Psalm 37:10; 92:7) Thereafter, the entire earth “will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.”—Isaiah 11:9.
Think of the peace and harmony that will prevail when every person on the planet worships God “with spirit and truth” and willingly submits to his loving direction and perfect standards! (John 4:24) At last, people will experience “the real life” promised by God!
As foretold, however, only relatively few will accept God’s guidance and gain life. (Matthew 7:13, 14) Just as surely as instinct guides birds to their destination, Jehovah will lead his loyal ones to life in Paradise.—Luke 23:43.

“With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.””
Revelation 21:3, 4

“For only the upright will reside in the earth, and the blameless will remain in it. As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth, and the treacherous will be torn away from it.”
Proverbs 2:21, 22
Emphasizes that God’s Kingdom is the only hope for all mankind; shows how this heavenly government is the instrument for sanctifying God’s name and vindicating his sovereignty
“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever…”
Daniel 2:44
Explains the course we need to pursue to enjoy a close, personal relationship with our Maker and Life-Giver
“But we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us insight so that we may gain the knowledge of the one who is true. And we are in union with the one who is true, by means of his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and life everlasting.”
1 John 5:20
