Action Verb “What?” (sometimes “Who?). Ex. The boy caught the ball. The boy caught what? The ball. Ball is a DO
What question do you ask to find the Indirect Object?
First, find the Direct Object. Then ask “To Who?”. Example: The boy gave his father a gift. What did he give? A Gift. To who? His Father. Father is an IO.
