What was the large empire used for?
A
Built a large empire united through law and a bureaucratic government. They continued the building of ziggurats.

What did Hammurabi create and how does it work?
A
Hammurabi created the first written law code. It provided some rights for women and the lower class. The laws may be harsh compared to modern ones but they provided the basis of a stable society. Punishments would fit the crime: “an eye for an eye.”
