Carbon or radiocarbon dating

A

A method artefact. All living things contain carbon 14.

When living things die it begins to lose carbon 14. The older an object the less carbon 14 in it

Dendrochronology

A

A method of dating wooden objects. Each year a tree adda a new ring to its trunk. These rings add up to tell us the age of the tree. Archaeologist study ring patterns on wooden objects to date them.
