Pelvic Girdle (hip girdle)
Coxal bones (hip bones)joined at the pubic symphsis anteriorly, and articulate with the sacrum posteriorly
acetabullum: at the junction of the ilium, ischium, and pubis (socket for articulation with the femur),obturator foramen.
Peliv Gidle: how many fused bones make up a coxal bone?
3
ilium (2): iliac crest, anterior superior illiac spine, anterior inferior iliac spine, posterior superior iliac spine, posterior inferior iliac spine, greater sciatic notch, auricular surface
ischium (2): ischial tuberosity, ischial spine, ischial ramus, lesser sciatic notch
pubis (2): pubic crest, pubic tubercle, (pubic symphasis)
Pelvis
Consist of hip bones, sacrum, and coccyx: pelvic brim (pelvic inlet), false pelvis, true pelvis, pelvic outlet, pubic arch
