= heart of nazi thinking and action
the idea of a struggle and conflict between races as the natural order of things
Nazi propaganda glorified military virtues
What was the Nazi concept of power of will?
= Nazi propaganda emphasised the importance of power, strength and determination
personified through the SA parading through the streets
What was the Nazi’s idea of a racial community?
concept of Volksgemeinschaft
only Aryans could be citizens of the state
everyone would work together for the good of the nation
aimed for a social revolution that focused on tradition values to counter the liberalism of the golden age
What was national Socialism?
named themselves as the NSDAP in an attempt to gain support from the working class
However, the word “socialism” was used loosely, in a way that would appeal to the working class
In hitlers view socialism and the Volkesgemeinschaft were one of the same thing
What was the concept of aggressive nationalism?
Three main aims
1) to reverse the humiliation of the treaty of Versaille and regain lost territory
2) establish a “greater german reich”
3)secure a Lebensraum

How did the Nazis draw on anti-semitism?
= Hitler saw the Jews as responsible for all of Germany’s ills
Jews were to be held responsible for the evils of capitalism whilst at the same time for communism
=Jews were the scapegoats within propaganda
