Aorist use

A

The imperfect tense refers to an action that is not completed, and has a similar range of meanings to the Latin imperfect: was doing, used to do, did (over a long period of time).

A

The first, or weak aorist, has the augment, ἐ-, and normally adds sigma to the stem, with the person endings.
