Define: Anglo Saxon
The Saxon, Angle and Jute tribes people from Germany and Scandinavia.
Define: Christianity
the religion based on the person and teachings of Jesus Christ, or its beliefs and practices.
Define: Canon Law
Church law, especially (in the Roman Catholic Church) that was laid down by papal pronouncements.
Define: Crusades
The medieval military expeditions made by Europeans to recover the Holy Land from the Muslims in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries.

An intellectual movement that began at the end of the Middle Ages marked by a celebration of the powers of human reason, a keen interest in science, the promotion of religious toleration, and a desire to construct governments free of tyranny.

refers to the rapid advances in European scientific, mathematical, and political thought that occurred at the end of the Medieval Period.
