May repeat x1 at half initial dose after 10 minutes to a max total dose of 7.5 mg IV/IO

For patients with agitation that interferes with necessary patient care
Administer midazolam 0.05 mg/kg IM/IV/IO (max dose 2.5 mg) May repeat x1 after 10 minutes to a max total dose of 5mg IV/IO

14 or > 65 years max initial and total doses are half
8 yrs: Contact Medical Direction for orders

Seizure

A

Carried: 10mg/ 2 mL
Administer benzodiazepines.
If age >60, consider reducing dose by half

0.2 mg/kg IM
Max 5mg if <40kg
Max 10mg if >40kg

Repeat x 1 if seizure continues

If seizure onset after IV established, administer Midazolam 0.1 mg/kg IV
Max single dose 5 mg
Administer slowly over 2 minutes
