Calendaring
Finishing technique used to thin, coat or smooth a material

Wet, semi-durable finish applied to fabric to resist liquid stain but allowing the passage of air and moisture
Brushing
Finishing process used to raise the surface fibres of a fabric
Notching
Notches are slashes added at specific locations along the seam allowance edge
Grading
The process of creating a variety of sizes for one style

Pattern Drafting
Where pattern pieces are drawn on paper according to body measurements which becomes the base for designers to create garments

Any process performed on yarn or fabric to improve the appearance or touch of the clothing

The use of chemicals to achieve a desired fabric property Eg.more durable

Refer to fabric that comes from eco-friendly resources and depends on how the fabrics are manufactured
