Provides funding for product
Can be an A-level actor etc
Someone who has the final say

Director
Responsible for the production unit
Translates the script into visual terms(lighting, composition, and performances)
Guides the actors
Director of Photography
Known as the DP or the cinematographer
Based on the directors vision, the DP composes shots, plans on camera movement, and decides how to light the scene
Camera Operator
Use the camera at the direction of the DP
1st assistant camera
Known as 1st AC
Maintains focus, manages camera equipment, and checks the gate(film)
2nd assistant camera
Known as 2nd AC
Operates the slate, keeps camera report, loads film/manages tape
Gaffer
Head of electrical department
Sets up lights as directed by the DP
-“electrical lights”
Best boy(electric)
Assists gaffer with lights and cables
- the “best boy” -is the go-to
Grip
Moves things around
Sets props and builds scaffolds for the camera
Key grip
Chief grip on set
Dolly grip
Places and levels the dolly track
Pushes and pulls dolly
Script supervisor
Continuity between shots
Making sure everything is shot
Deviation between what is in the script and what is in the shot
1st assistant director
Known as 1st AD
Manager of the set
Makes sure needed actors and crew are present
Controls the extras
Keeps everyone on schedule
Makes sure director can focus on purely creative concerns
2nd assistant director
Known as 2nd AD
Assists 1st AD
Creates call sheets
Location Manager
Finds locations and helps arrange logistics
Production assistant
Known as PA
Available to do small tasks and run errands
Still Photography
Takes production stills for promotional purposes
Production Designer
Work with producers and directors to determine the visual style of all sets and locations
Makes scary movie locations look scary. Makes war movies look authentic. Etc.
Props master
In charge of finding and managing all props that appear in the film
Makeup artist
Applies makeup to anyone appearing on the screen
Makes them look younger, older, dead, monstrous, etc.
Costume designer
Responsible for all clothing worn on screen
Designs, plans, and organizes the construction of the garments… Including fabric, color, and sizes
Production sound mixer
Head of sound department on set
Responsible for recording all sound on set
Boom operator
Responsible for microphone placement and movement during filming
Uses boom pole for precise placement
Sound designer
In charge of all post-production sound
Composer
Writes musical score
Foley artist
Creates and records many of sound effects for the film
Writer
Writes story
