Q
#79
Explain why some people say we have 33 vertebrae. How can both be right?
A

They are both right because before your fourth decade or the age of 40 you have 30 vertebrae because there are five sacrum and 4 coccyx because they are not fully fused along with the 7 cervical vertebrae the 12 thoracic vertebrae and 5 lumbar vertebrae that would add up to 30 that is the reason that some people have 30 vertebrae. The reason some people have 26 vertebrae is because their sacrum and coccyx are fully fused and along with the 5 lumbar vertebrae 12 thoracic vertebrae seven cervical vertebrae that adds up to 26 vertebrae which means they are past the fourth decade or over 40.
