Action: prevents blood clots that can lead to stroke or heart attack (used for A-fib, history of stroke, or MI)
Side Effects: excessive bruising, bleeding gums, abdominal pain, hematuria, and bleeding

Heparin
Action: decreases clotting ability to prevent blood clots
Side Effects: hematuria, dizziness, and bruising

Furosemide
Action: treats fluid retention cause by congestive heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease
Side effects: lightheadedness, dizziness, headache, and dehydration
