Test on December 20th Valence electrons Flashcards

1
Q

What is the orbital notation for Na?

A
  1. Find The Number of Electrons
  2. Fill the First Two orbital levels which are 1s and 2s, each with two arrows representing two electrons for each of them {Note That S Levels Are Their Levels And So Are Filled With Both Electrons Rather Than Only One}
  3. Fill the entire p level with orbitals containing the same facing arrows
  4. If there are leftover electrons fill in the empty spaces
