the trinity
do you think it matters if god created the world
for some christian’s having the belief god created the world can solidify there beliefs of god being omnipotent
why do you think john uses the passsage about “ the word” to begin his account of the life and work of jesus
- jesus has always been there
- the whole trinity was there
- he is the only one who can physically speak
why can the mind not fully understand the mystery of god
because there are so many gaps and unanswered questions , if we were to fully understand god it would ruin the whole aspect of faith , it would destroy the belief system as you wouldn’t
explain two different christian beliefs about the creation story (5)
on belief about creation is that god created the world in 6 days and the rested on the 7th . in genesis it says “ in the beginning, god created the heavens and the earth “
however other christian’s believe that god created the beginning of the world but the big bang also happened carrying on his work
explain two christian beliefs about why jesus is the son of god (5)
one belief that jesus is the son of god is that he had a virgin birth , they believe that the holy spirit made mary pregnant, as it says in the bible “ she was found to be pregnant through the holy spirit “
a second belief is that he was redirected . christian’s believe after jesus died a painful death on the cross he was resurrected and found by mary in the gardens outside his tomb , this further demonstrates jesus’ fully divineness.
5 points on jesus’ crucifixion
- crucifixion was a favoured education for the romans
- he was crucified was two other men
- he was not spared of the pain and horror of death
- according to luke , jesus forgave his guards and promised one of the other men he died along side that he would go to paradise
- one of the guards praised god and acknowledged that jesus had been a righteous man who had done nothing to deserve death
