Name six types of test equipment.
multi-meter, sign wave oscillator, oscilloscope, phase tester, sound pressure level meter, and real time analyzer.
Displays a virtual representation of an electrical signal; displays a signal as a function of time; speed of the sweep determines the time interval that is represented - the faster the sweep, the shorter the interval.
Oscilloscope
Used to determine the polarity of the circuit; for input/output transducers; caution is required when using this; relatively sensitive device, and will give incorrect readings under a variety of conditions.
Phase tester
Performs a wide variety of tests and are used in servicing electronic equipment; commonly used to measure voltage and circuit resistance; capable of both dc and ac measurement.
Multi-meter

AC
Is a signal generator that produces a pure sine wave; covers the full audio range; used for system measurements that require a known signal source; particularly resourceful for detecting distortion
sine wave oscillator
Consists of a calibrated microphone, amplifying circuitry, and a meter movement. Used for measuring loudness and offers both fast and slow response, switch selected. Provides peak hold function that will hold and display a maximum reading.
