Starts in adulthood, genuine interest in the welfare of others and want to be morally right

Respondent behavior
Involuntary behavior that is automatically elicited from a certain stimulus. Example = anxiety or sexual response
Operant behavior
Voluntary behavior. Example = walking, talking
3 stages of cultural, racial and ethnic identity
- Unexamined = lack of exploration
- Search = exploration and questioning
- Achievement = clear sense and acceptance
