1st Rule of Hermeneutics
We must pursue the Bible literally  when reading the Bible, we must accept the obvious meaning. 
2nd Rule of Hermeneutics
We must pursue the Bible contextually. it is necessary to take words in the sense indicated by the whole sentence in its context (verses before, and after the text that is studied). 
3rd Rule of Hermeneutics
We must pursue the Bible grammatically. The Bible has been written respecting the grammatical laws of the languages in which they were written in. 
4th Rule of Hermeneutics
We must chase the Bible harmoniously. Harmony occurs when a set achieves balance, proportion, and adequate correspondence between its different components.
What general steps can be taken to determine the purpose of the author? 
+Consider the purpose.
+Consider the central idea of the book.

What does the word context mean?
In Latin “with” means together and “textus” means tissue.
What does the word “context” denote?
That some thing is woven together. 
What is the church? 
It is not Jew or Gentile or of national origin.
It is the community of all believers, who have been united by the bond of faith and regenerative action of the Holy Spirit, in a vital way, to Jesus Christ.

Biblical text in other places of the Bible refer to the same historical fact, the same doctrine, or to a teaching, exhortation, or similar theme
What is the principle of the centrality of Christ?
That Jesus Christ is the central theme of the entire Bible, and that there are teachings of Him in all the books of the Bible.
What are the distinctions made by the Bible? 
+Distinction between creatures of God, and the children of God.
+Distinction of the position of the disciple before God and his daily conduct.
+Distinction between salvation and rewards.

 all living beings are creatures of God, because God created them. However, only those who have established a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ are children of God.

+The disciple is permanently before God, through the work of grace.
+The position is invariable and indestructible. 
The distinction between salvation and rewards states
+Salvation is a free gift, given to all sinners who repent, and recognize Jesus as the Lord of their lives
+Children and disciples receive rewards, which are the divine retribution for the works done for God.
