what are the names of the 5 types of transporting points?
Jing Well
Ying Spring
Shu Stream
Jing River
He-Sea
Function of Jing Well points (and location)
-1st most distal point
-releases to exterior
- any organ condition
-any heat (febrile) condition
-used for resucitation
Fx of Ying Spring points (+ location)
-2nd most distal
- heat
- complexion change
(in the Spring, you lay out in the sun to get a complexion change)
Fx of Shu Stream points (+ location)
-3rd most distal point

-jing well
- he- sea
which transporting points help with pain?
-shu stream
-he - sea
which points clear heat?
- distal points
Fx of Yuan Source Points
-where the source qi of the organ and channel reside
-it reminds the organ what it is to be healthy
-3rd most distal point on yin channels (aka shu stream pt)
-4th most distal point on yang channels
-located on the wrists/ankles
Luo points
-treat BLOOD and EMOTIONS
- treat toxins or intense emotions held in the blood

-use Luo point on the problem channel directly OR
- use Luo on paired channel and Yuan Source Point on the problem channel (guest/host)
-often off of the channel pathway (ex: LU 7)
Fx of Xi Cleft Points
-acute PAIN
- blood STAGNATION
- organ BLEEDING
-regulate qi and blood flow
-treat Pain
Fx of Command Points of the 8 EV
-these points open or access the 8 extraordinary vessels that are involved in our prenatal development
-assoc. w/ Jing and our constitution
Fx of 8 Influential Points
-“where the qi of the tissue resides”
-regulates the function of the tissue or substance
Ex:
-Ren 17 is the influential point of Qi
-Ren 12 is the influential point of Fu organs
