Fundoscopic exam
Examination of optic disk
Ophthalmoscope- brightest, whitest, circle, dim room
Extraocular movements
H movement Signal brain tumor or injury CN III CN IV CN VI
Pupillary reaction to light
CN III- constrictor muscle of iris
Static wiggle test
CN II- optic nerve
Confrontation
Pupils
3-5mm
Lacrimal apparatus
Check lacrimal glands and sac for swelling
Excessive tearing- conjunctival inflammation
Dryness and crusting of eyes - ectropion, nasolacrimal duct obstruction
Eyelids
Edema Color Lesions Condition and direction of eyelids Adequacy which eyelids close
Near reaction
