Explain the difference between Classical and Operative conditioning.
Classical conditioning: a learning process in which an association is made between a previously neutral stimulus and a stimulus that naturally evokes a response.
Operative conditioning: a learning process in which the probability of response occurring is increased or decreased due to reinforcement or punishment.
What is Field Theory?
By Gestalt psychologist Kurt Lewin.
It is a psychological theory which examines patterns of interaction between the individual and the total field, or environment.
What is the Law of Effect?
It states that “responses that produce a satisfying effect in a particular situation become more likely to occur again in that situation, and responses that produce a discomforting effect become less likely to occur again in that situation.”
What does “neutral monism” mean?
A third substance is fundamental, while mind and matter are derivative.
What are the six basic emotions?
Anger, Sadness, Happiness, Surprise, Disgust, and Fear.
They are the universal set of facial expressions.
