Self/Other
A concept that categorize certain groups as superior (the “self”) and other groups as inferior (the “other”) so that those in power remain in power
Civil Rights
The rights of the citizens to the political, social, and economic freedoms within the laws of a given nation
Denationalization
When the occupying nation imposes its own laws, language, culture, etc on the occupied nation rather than the occupied nation’s laws, language, culture, etc
Human Rights
Basic rights and freedoms all people are entitled to by being a part of humanity

When one country forces/occupies another country

A system of power in which one racial/ethnic group dominated another racial/ethnic group for the benefit of dominating the other group

A strategy where one is fully or partially engulfed into a different system’s rules/cultures/practices in order to “fit in” or be controlled
