Explain: creation, human conditions, nature of god and goddess, meanings behind religious ritual, historical events or moral lessons

Secular or non religious, entertainment, magic or transformation, common folk, no special poses
Origin myths
Stories that explain how things came to be
Archetype
A pattern or mod that serves as the basis for different but related version of a character, plot or theme
Trickster
A universal figure in world myths and folktales
Tend to leave trouble and chaos behind
Quest
A journey taken in search of a person or object of great value
Folktale hero
Ordinary person, special in some way, neglected, kind, clever or resourceful, helped by animals
Indirect characterization
Uses methods to describe the character
Direct Characterization
Telling directly what the character is like
External conflict
Clash between opposing character outside force
Internal Conflict
Struggle between need within a character or society
Fairy tale
Folktale that features supernatural elements such as spirits, talking animals and magic
Moral lesson
Message about how people ought to behave
