Supranationalism
Method of decision making in multiple national political communities, wherein power is transferred or delegated to an authority by governments of member states
Devolution
Passing on of power from a big government to a smaller one

Attitude or force that tends to unify and strengthen a community or country
Centrifugal forces
Forces or attitudes that do not unify a group of individuals
Austerity
Policies used by governments to reduce budget deficits during adverse economic conditions
Homogenous
Country with same religion or language or political stance
Heterogeneous
Country with multiple languages or religions or political views
Coup d’état
Sudden and illegal seizure of a government
Junta
Military government, government run by military personnel
Nationalism
Extreme pride in your country.
Totalitarianism
Centralized and dictatorial government and requires complete subservience to the state
Martial law
The exercise of government and control by military authorities over the civilian population of a designated territory
Dissident
Person who opposes official policy, especially that of an authoritarian state
Refugee
Person who has been forced to flee their country to avoid persecution, war, or natural disaster
Indigenous
Person born in the country they are located in
Asylum
Person persecuted by own country can be protected by another sovereign or foreign country
Market economy
Decisions regarding investment, production, and distribution are based on supply and demand, prices determined in a free price system
Command economy
Planned economy, decisions regarding investment and production are embodied in a plan formulated by a central authority, like a government agency
Infrastructure
Services and facilities necessary for an economy to function
Internally displaced people
People forced to leave hOme but wander/stay in own country
