diagnosis

AVPU

test that assesses the amount of blood returning to the heart and assesses the ability of the heart to pump blood into the arterial system

Utilizing a stethoscope to listen for breathing around chest area, back, and even the abdomen to see if respiratory sounds are normal
triple airway maneuver
to maintain a patient’s upper airway and combines the head tilt, jaw thrust, and mouth opening
PEARL
measurement of pupils to see if they react to light
Pneumothorax
occurs when air leaks into the space between the lung and chest wall, the air pushes on outside of lung making it collapse
symmetrical thoracic excursions
measurement of the equality of the lung movements to ensure the lungs are rising and falling in equal pattern
glascow coma scale
level of consciousness
