it is bounded by ribs and diaphram
what does the thoratic cavity consist of?
it consists of mediastinum and pleural cavities.
what is the abdominal cavity bounded by?
it is bounded by diaphram and and abdominal muscles
what is the abdominal cavity surrounded by?
surrounded by the peritoneum and contains many of the organs.
define mediastinum
a membranous partition between two body cavities or two parts of an organ, especially that between the lungs.
define pleural
thin membrane that lines the surface of your lungs and the inside of your chest wall
define peritoneum
the double-folded membrane lining the cavity of the abdomen and covering the abdominal organs
