What is a booking?
A reservation.
What is bumping?
The practice of denying seats to ticketed passengers due to overbooking.

An agreement by which airlines permit the use of their GDS code in the flight schedule displays of other airlines.
What is a contract of carriage?
The small print on a passenger’s coupon detailing the legal relationship, rights, and liabilities of the passenger and the carrier.

The specific fare for a ticket at a designated level of service.
What is a fare code?
The code used to make a booking on a GDS for a specific fare.
