What is a protagonist?
The protagonist is the main character of the story.
What is an antagonist?
The antagonist is the main opposer/ nemesis of the protagonist.
What is an omniscient POV?
It’s when the author knows all and sets all.
What is a limited omniscient?
The author is restricted to one chosen person and they know everything about that person.
What is first person POV?
The author or a character narrates the story (using ‘I / i’)
What is an objective POV?
The author only records what’s seen and heard.
What is third POV?
Uses ‘she’, ‘he’, ‘they’, ‘it’.
What is a round character?
it’s a complex and multi-faced character, with more traits and more fully developed.
What is flat character?
It’s when the character only has one or two district traits.
What is a stock character?
It’s when it’s a stereotyped character.
What is a static character?
Static character is when they stay the same through out the story, they have no character development.
What are the five steps in a plot triangle?
Introduction: Beginning of the story Rising Action: Conflict of the story us revealed Climax: Most exciting part if the story Falling action: Conflict gets resolved Denouement/Resolution: Final outcome
What is foreshadowing?
It’s when the author hints at what’s going to happen in the story.
What is a symbol?
A symbol is something that represents something. Similar to the symbol of the mockingbird in the hunger games.
What is verbal irony?
It’s when someone says something but it means something completely different.
