The Patriots were the people that felt devotion towards America being free (liberated)
Who are the loyalist?
The loyalist were colonists that were still loyal to Britain and who were recruited by Britain to fight.

The treaty of Paris was ratified by the American congress
Who were the privateers?
Privateers were merchants that owned private ships equipped with weapons. They were authorized to engage in battle if they ran into the British. Congress authorized 1,000 of these ships.
What is the definition of ratify?
To approve or confirm
What is guerrilla warfare?
It is when a small group of soldiers that use a hit and run tactic. This is how America won the revolutionary war.
When did the 2nd Continental Congress declare independence from England?
July 4, 1776
What role did the loyalist play in the Revolutionary War?
They helped the British learn the landscape and fight the Continental Army.
