Sin
- harming relationship/breaking rules
- failure to pay attention to the 10 commandments, the
beatitudes, church.. etc. Either active or passive. - refusal to do God’s will
Mortal Sin
- complete break in one’s relationship with God.
- Ex. Murder
- Not by accident (conscious decision to turn away from God)
Venial Sin
- Doesn’t completely separate you from God.
- Cooling off of relationship
- ex. Failure to be honest
Social Sin
Offend human dignity by causing people to suffer.
Ex. Systematic racism
Conscious
- to act with knowledge
Oppression
Prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or control.
Exploitation
the action or fact of treating someone unfairly in order to benefit from their work.
Ignorance
The condition of being uninformed or uneducated. Lack of knowledge or information.
Prejudice
An irrational hostile attitude , fear or hatred towards a particular group, race, or religion.
Injustice
-Lack of fairness or justice.
-Violation of your rights or the rights of others
Ex. Judge a person unfairly
Atone
Make amends (correct a mistake)
Plague
- Things that trouble and annoy you
- A contagious bacterial disease🦠 that spreads rapidly, killing many people.
Virtue
Behaviour showing high moral standards
- ex. Love, compassion, courage, hospitality, gratitude, peace making, charity, forgiveness, justice, and faithfulness.

A widespread occurrence of an infectious diseases in a community at a particular time.
