define intersectionality
intersections between identities (race, gender, etc.) that create very different experiences of overlapping privilege and oppression for a person
define microaggression
everyday verbal / nonverbal / physical slights or insults that communicate negative messages to targeted people based on a marginalized identity
can be intentional or unintentional

define tone policing
when someone is speaking about their experience with oppression/injustices but they are dismissed bc of their tone of voice
define gaslighting
psychological manipulation where the abuser causes the victim to feel confusion, question reality, and self-doubt their own experiences
