Back Flap
A combination of a brush back and I stepped on and one counter less. With a change of weight.
Ball change
A combination of two steps done in one count or less. Can be done in any direction. Slight accent on the second step.
Ball tap
An ankle movement. Strike the ball of the foot on the floor in any direction, releasing it immediately. No change of weight.
Basic four count cramp roll.
Toe dig right, toe dig left, heel drop right, heel drop left - counts one, two, three, four
Basic Maxiford
Shuffle leap toe &1&2 (may begin with a leap) &1&a2 (Or Flap) &a1&a2
Bell kick
Strike the heels or balls of the feet together well suspending in the air. Change of weight is optional.
Bite cramp roll
Same as a basic cramp role but done in the count a&a1
Brush front
Strike the ball of the foot on the floor in the sweeping motion forward. No change of weight.
Brushback
Opposite to a brush front
Buck
Also called a chug. Is to push or hitch the ball of the foot across the floor dropping the heel at almost the same time. Change of weight is optional.
Buck cramp
Buck followed by a heel drop.
Double heel drop
Drop one heel twice, or alternate heels.
Double pick up
Combination of a jump with the balls of both feet brushing back. Change of weight is optional.
Double sound
Done in one count or less.
Draw
Pull the ball of the foot along the floor from an open position to a closed position. Change of weight is optional.
Drawback
Back brush, heel drop (opposite foot), step on brushing foot.
Flap
A combination of a brush forward and a step. Done in one count or less.
Flap Cramp
Flap followed by a heel drop.
Flat step
Change of weight from 1 foot to the whole of the other foot. No accent.
Flat step
Change of weight from 1 foot to the whole of the other foot. No accent.
Hamp
Spring into the air from 1 foot and land on the whole of the same foot with an accent.
Heel click
Standing on the balls of both feet strike the heels together. Change of weight is optional.
Heel Dig
Strike the heel of the foot into the floor. Change of weight is optional. The heel does not release.
Heel drop
With the ball of the foot on the floor release the heel down. Change of weight is optional.
Heel stud
Strike the floor with the heel of the foot releasing it immediately. No change of weight.
Heel walk
Transfer the weight from 1 foot to the heel of the opposite foot.
Hitch
While standing on 1 foot, a short traveling movement across the floor on the ball of your foot. No change of weight. Can be done in any direction. Can also be done on 2 feet and the change of weight would be optional.
Hop
Spring into the air from 1 foot and land on the ball of the same foot.
Hop cramp
A combination of a hop and heel drop on the landing foot.
Hop toe tap (one foot)
Spring into the air from 1 foot, toe tap the same supporting foot and land on the ball of the same foot.
Jamp
Spring into the air from 1 foot or both feet and land on the whole of both feet with an accent. Change of weight is optional.
Jump
Spring into the air from one or both feet and land on the balls of both feet. Change of weight is optional.
Jump cramp
A combination of a jump followed by a heel drop on one or both feet (at the same time). Change of weed is optional.
Lamp
Spring into the air from 1 foot and land on the whole of the other foot. Is done with an accent. (similar to a drummers rim shot “shot beat”)
Lamp
Spring into the air from 1 foot and land on the whole of the other foot. Is done with an accent. (Similar to a drummers rimshot)
Leap Cramp
A combination of a leap and heel drop on the landing foot.
Multiple sounds
Four sounds or more done in one count of music.
Pick up change
Combination of a leap with a brush back with the take off foot. (Land on the ball of the opposite foot)
Riff Cramp
Forward riff followed by a heel drop.
Riff forward
A combination of a brush forward and a heel scuff. No change of weight.
Running flap.
A combination of a brush forward and a leap.
Scuff front
Stripe the floor with the heel or whole foot in a sweeping motion forward.
Scuff front
Strike the floor with the heel or whole foot in a sweeping motion forward.
Scuffle
A combination of a heel scuff forward and a brush back. No change of weight.
Scuffle cramp
Scuffle followed by a heel drop.
Shuffle
A combination of a brush forward and a brush back, done in one county or less.
Shuffle cramp
Shuffle followed by a heel drop.
Single pick up
Combination of a hop with a brush back with the takeoff foot. (Landing on the ball of the same foot.)
Slam
A movement from the hip. Strike the floor with the whole foot using the whole leg with an accent. Is done in any direction. Change of weight is optional.
Slap
A combination of a brush forward and a ball tap.
Slap cramp
Slap followed by a heel drop.
Slide
Push the ball of the foot across the floor from a closed position to an open position. Change of weight is optional.
Stamp
Strike the floor with the whole of the foot with an accent and a definite change of weight.
Step
A change of weight from 1 foot to the ball of the other foot making one sound.
Stomp
Strike the floor with the whole foot and an accent and release it immediately.
Stud or ball stud
Strike the floor with the ball of the foot and release it immediately. Slight accent and no change of weight.
Toe click
Standing on both heels, strike both toes together. Change of weight is optional.
Toe dig
Strike the ball of the foot into the floor. Slight accent and the change of weight is optional. Foot does not release.
Toe or ball drop
With the heel on the floor, release the same ball of the foot down. Change of weight is optional.
Toe stand
Spring onto the rip of one toe and recover
