Describes a position closer to the surface of the body (Skin)
Deep
Describes a position farther from the surface of the body (Brain)
Sagittal Plane
Divides the body vertically into right and left sides
Frontal Plane
Divides the body into an anterior and posterior portion.
Transverse Plane
Divides the body horizontally into upper and lower portions
