United Nations
The United Nations (UN) is an intergovernmental organization established 24 October 1945, to promote international co-operation.
Declaration of Human Rights
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Universal Declaration) is an international document that states basic rights and fundamental freedoms to which all human beings are entitled.
Violation
the action of violating someone or something.
refugee
a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.
Holocaust
destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially caused by fire or nuclear war.
concentration camp
a place where large numbers of people, especially political prisoners or members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities, sometimes to provide forced labor or to await mass execution.
Secretary General
a title given to the principal administrator of some organizations, most notably the United Nations.
Security Council
The Security Council is the primary instrument for establishing and maintaining international peace. Its main purpose is to prevent war by settling disputes between nations.
