Congress
the national legislative body of the U.S.
Executive Branch
the part of the government that has its authority and responsibility for the daily administration of the state
Judicial Branch
Judiciary is made up of courts – Supreme, Circuit, the magistrate (local) and municipal (city) courts. The Judicial branch interprets the laws. The state judges are elected by the citizens rather than being appointed.

the highest judicial court in a country or state
House of Representatives
The lower house of the United States Congress. With 435 popularly elected officials, the House is the most representative body in the federal government. House seats are apportioned relative to each state’s population.

the smaller upper assembly in the US Congress

Liberalism is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality
conservatism
A general preference for the existing order of society, and an opposition to efforts to bring about sharp change
checks and balances
hecks and balances is used to keep the government from getting too powerful in one branch
democracy
A system of government in which power is vested in the people, who rule either directly or through freely elected representatives
politics
the activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power
Republican
is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States
