Tense
Changing a verb to fit the time an action took place
Present Tense
[ Le Présent ]
Conjugate verb based on endings

Past Tense 1
[ L’imparfait : Imperfect ]
An action in the past that was incomplete / ongoing
{ 1. change verb to nous form
2. take off -ons
3. add imperfect endings
ie. Faire –> faisait }

A completed action in the past
