Wakatu or Wakatu itu = at that time Wakatu and sudah = by that time Pernah + verb = ever Sudah = sudah + verb Kemarin (yesterday) and tadi (earlier / just now) are used as specific time references
He has already gone
Dia sudah pergi
I will eat
Saya akan makan
Present tense: It is generally assumed one is speaking in the present tense.
Sekarang = emphasise the point that one is speaking about the present. Sedang = in the middle of something
I ate just now
Saya makan tadi
I will go later
Saya pergi nanti
I am eating
