What is 15 (fifteen)?
The first point score in a tennis game
What is lob?
A high arching shot landing near the base line
What is alley?
The area between the singles’ and doubles’ sidelines
What is a serve?
The stroke used to put the ball into play; starts the tennis game
What is a deuce?
The term used for a score of 40-40
What is a let?
Redo the point due to interruption (wind, bird flying in, other tennis ball in court, tennis ball hitting the net tape with serving but still going in the service box)
What is an ace?
An unreturnable serve
What is an add-in?
An advantage to the server or receiver
What is an underhand?
A type of serve where the ball does not bounce
What is a point?
The ball must land inside the lines or on the line in the right location
What is a rally?
A continuous back-and-front play between two players
What is a love?
Score that represents zero
What is a 30-all?
An even score, particularly of 30-30
What is matchpoint?
The final point to win the tennis game
What is a deuce court?
The right service court from the point of view of the player or team that is receiving service
