Forms the bottom of the highland rim. Has some of the most fertile soil in Tennessee. Four rivers flow through. Nashville is in this region.

A

Known as the agricultural heart of Tennessee . Memphis is the regions chief city. Divided into two subdivisions. They are Mississippi bottoms- a small area perfect for growing grain, and West Tennessee slope-good hunting ground.
