How do you check that the breaks are working before starting your journey?
Breaks should not feel spongey or slack. As you set off, make sure that the vehicle does not pull to one side.

How should tyre pressure be checked?
Use a reliable pressure gauge to check and adjust the pressure when tyres are cold. Don’t forget the spare tyre and remember to refit valve caps.
How do you make sure that your head restraint is correctly adjusted?
The rigid part of the restraint should be at least as high as the eye or top of ears, and as close to the back of the head as is comfortable.
How do you check that tyres have sufficient tread depth and that their condition is safe for the road?
There should not be any cuts or bulges. The tread depth should be 1.6mm across the central 3/4 of the breadth of the tyre, and around the entire circumference.
How do you check that your headlights and taillights are working?

There should be a slight movement as the system begins to operate. Alternatively, you can turn the steering wheel just after moving off and that will give an immediate indication that the power assistance is functioning.
How do you switch the rear fog lights on and when would you use them?

Identify the reservoir and check against low and high level markings.
