Tell me how you’d check that the brakes are working before starting a journey
- Brakes should not feel spongy or slack
- Brakes should be tested as you set off

- use a reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold, don’t forget spare tyre, remember to refit valve caps.

- The head restraint should be adjusted so the rigid part of the head restraint is at least as high as the eye or top of the ears, and as close to the back of the head as is comfortable

- Then turn to dipped headlights
- Use the stick to turn on main beam
- A warning light will appear in the dashboard

- Then take it out again
- Look at high and low mark (should be between)
- Don’t fill it too much because could damage the engine

- Top it up with a water and anti-freeze mix (only when engine is cold)

- Top it up with the correct type of fluid if necessary
